Liner Notes

Turquoise is the newest album from J.Ramada. This 5 song EP features the new single “Imaginary Thunder”, currently streaming on jramada.com and all major streaming platforms worldwide.

J.Ramada’s latest release “traverses a diverse musical landscape”, so the design themes needed to inspire the same emotions. We had a great experience working together on this project as well.

The designs for the project began with “a stunning cosmos sky-scape embellished with mandalas and natural figures in the Neo-Impressionism style”, painted by Peruvian artist Kika Rosas. J.Ramada provided an image of the starry night sky and I provided countless hours of very detailed photoshop work to isolate Kika’s exquisitely colorful paintings.

The paintings were then placed over the night sky in a variety of sizes and layouts. Fonts were tested and chosen. Innumerable minute design tweaks were requested, proofed, considered, and approved.

The project consists of the main album design, comprised of four panels (two inner panels and two outer panels), artwork printed directly on the CD, and a wall poster.
