My experience designing logos was born out of necessity. I’d get a new web design job and many times the client would not have a logo. I found that simple ideas can be transformed into catchy logos that help build brand recognition.
Using a custom logo in various parts of your business, such as a website, business cards, packaging, labels, social media, and printed materials gets your brand much-needed visibility. Your logo design therefore represents what your targeted audience will perceive about your business or product.
A logo becomes timeless when it uniquely identifies and separates your brand from your competitors.
For example, the owner of Frontier Pools showed me his business card. It was a single-color, line art rendition of a bison skull and cactus, with the “Old Fashioned Quality” tag line. Using the color themes taken from the new website design, I crafted this full-color version of the logo. It was important to the owner to maintain the brand’s long-standing identity since he had a strong foothold in the community.
Several of the other logo designs have a similar story regarding their genesis.
